Step By Step Fly Patterns Upside Down Realistic May

Tyers friends, this is a pattern of my own invention, well almost nothing new under the Sun, but I can demonstrate what is important is that it is a fly in the trout rivers worldwide, which falls into the water with great finesse in the presentation, good but mostly received great reception from the trout.

Hook: Curved for dry fly 3XL 10-20

Thread: 17/0

Fences: Realistic tails

Abdomen: True Skin painted with indelible marker ink

Thorax: True Skin painted with indelible marker ink

Wings: Stalcups Medallion sheeting

Hackle: Metz grade 1

Eyes: Burned monofilament

1 put the hook in the vise and make a bed of uniform thread, then tie two realistic tails, one on each side of the hook, in this case are two due to species to imitate, but in the case of species with 3 fences, placing third on the hook.

  1. fold realistic tail back surplus, and cover them with thread to give greater volume to low body, ensuring that it is not too wide.

3 take a section of 6 mm in width by 3 cm long of true skin, fold it in half, cut at 45 degrees one end and secure it to the hook at the top.

with uniform spirals entangle the true skin taking care that each turn is just half of the previous turn.

give the first layer of paint where our natural insect has two colors.

cut a strip of true skin of 2 mm by 1 cm and make it right in the eye of the hook by to the bottom to be converted in to the top.

tie monofilament eyes until well focused.

8 take back 2 mm Strip to cover the space between the eyes, and make it just behind the eyes, pushing with the thread so that it get under these.

  1. cut three strips of true skin two of 3 mm by 1 cm and a 1.5 mm by 1 cm and make them right in the middle of the last abdominal segment.
  2. tie a length of Monofilament of 6lbs U -shape with a leg on each side of the hook U to ensure the hackle.

11 clip wings of a section of stalcups sheeting, ensuring that they are almost the size of the body of the fly and make them clear that size will depend on the species, since there are ephemeral whose wings are smaller than the length of the body and in other major cases.

  1. make hackle feather by the upper part of the hook that is the bottom of the fly.

13 give about 4 or 5 turns of hackle around the pole of monofilament, then pass the tip of the pen through the center of this post and pull the ends to imprison the pen.

14 pull the front two sections of true skin cut in step 9, but only the sides, making sure that they are perfectly connected and secured to the front.

15 pull Strip central of true skin in the middle of the wings and secure it to the front.

16 inking with the second color giving the finish desired pattern similar to the body’s natural insect, in this case can be the veins of the wings.

  1. Although they can also be the wings of the transparent color of the material
