Passion Makes No Border – Takatoshi Murase

Second Europe trip: France – Switzerland summer 2012

Hey guys! My last article on our site’s been a while, so I would like to report trip you in the following report by my second Europe to Eastern France to Montreux and Geneva.

At the time with you in Germany it is obviously as cold as we in Japan, yet I see regularly German fishing colleagues who stand in the cold and catch big Pike and perch, respect. This motivates me in addition to the water to go, even if I’m busy for now with writing articles and preparing for my next trip.

Because it is more or less the only way to establish contacts to anglers all over the world and to communicate intensively with them most famous social networking starts a trip for me. Arnaud from France is a good friend of mine, with which I have contact for over 2 years now. We have spoken since the beginning in I should visit him in France so that we together can fish. Last summer, it was finally where we decided to fish on Lake Annecy and Leman (Lake Geneva). The timing was great, because another friend, Thomas in Montreux, Switzerland, was also nearby. I decided to visit him without before flying to Japan.

To forge plans, they had never before met with people is not so easy. Basically I though a basic trust in the people who share my passion for fishing and this sport at least love as much as I. To trust the people and to express myself as clearly as possible, is very important in my eyes before starting trips to the other end of the world.

Shortly after I arrived at Geneva airport, Arnaud picked me. We lost no time and Jimmy drove to overnight and other friends to meet directly to his friend in eastern France. We were a day fishing on Lake Geneva and the Lac d’ Annecy 2 days. After a further young Angel colleague, Yannis and his father did us society, we were a total of 7 people, distributed over 3 boats. Lake Geneva was quite difficult for me and I stayed Schneider. At Arnaud’s was better and he could end up several decent Pike. Even if I am this Lake had left, it was the water is quite different than the lakes in Japan and the United States a great experience for me, because. The environment in the Lake was gorgeous, I could admire many beautiful houses and even castles.

The fishing techniques and strategies to Pike fishing quite new for me, are there the behavior of the Small mouth Bass, my preferred target fish, is different. In deep water we fished mainly with rubber on the 20 30 gr Jighead close above the ground. This method is similar to the fish with a Spinner-bait on Small mouth Bass, you often also close leads over the grass.

On the Lac d ‘ Annecy South of Geneva, it not much better ran for me. Fortunately, I was able to catch a small Pike and saved me from the ‘hook’. The second day started I with an Esox in the morning and let me hope of course to catch better fish even before I had to leave Lake in the early afternoon. We tried it at different places and crossed almost the entire Lake. The time was running out, but at the last minute, there was still a really aggressive Pike attack. I carefully played out the fish and landed him in the end safely. Even if the fishing is a priority with friends for me, I was very lucky to have caught a good Pike.

When we docked the boat Thomas already was waiting for us. After a nice conversation I said goodbye by Arnaud and Lake, to start because it was to move on time to the second part of the trip. Montreux was in the beautiful city. Still, I had 1.5 days and looked forward to the time together with Thomas. On the way to him, we fished some ports, what liked very much. According to Thomas, lurk the Pike frequently between the boats and often aggressively attack the bait. Unfortunately, it was not granted this spectacle to watch, but again a nice and new experience.

The next and last day of the trip was with 2 friends from Northern Switzerland, Chris and Joel, again on the Lake of Geneva. We met up at the station and shortly thereafter started fishing. We strolled along the Lake and fished the shores. Chris and Joel could catch some small fish, while at my bait did nothing. On this day it was so hot that I knew almost in the desert. Still, I preferred active fishing and not sitting on, which I started as a child on this day. Fishing myself, I couldn’t let my views of this beautiful environment rarely. Especially the Château de Chillon fascinated and impressed me.

After the Angel session with the young anglers Chris and Joel, I met Nico again with Thomas’ fishing buddy, to try it specifically for perch in the evening. Nico brought me to his ‘ special spot’ and so I could catch a few perch before the dawn. After the last session, I had a fantastic dinner at a great restaurant, a night which I have in my whole life no longer will forget with my brothers.

Every time I put me on a fishing trip to somewhere else in the world, is primarily about friendships for me. It doesn’t matter where we come from, how we grew up or what we believe etc. ultimately it comes to a common love which us all together – fishing! No matter who I fish all invest so much love in the detail to get the target fish on the hook, that they forget everything around them, because food is just one example. It is therefore absorb the moments on the water and enjoy every moment. Fishing is universal, unlimited and knows no bounds. At the current time, this is the most important, what my travels and the meeting got me with all this great people. My world trip continues!

That’s all for now, thanks for that you the time you took this article to read. I’m looking forward to your comments. I hope to share another post, possibly on my bass soon experiences.

By the way, it looks like I will come to Germany in the summer and visit some of my Angel friends. Have a fantastic day, until the next time. ‘Peter!’
